There has been a myth that raises misconceptions among the individuals towards drinking water.
It is believed that drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day can keep skin moisture levels high. Also, it is said that drinking water is an essential factor to keep skin hydrated to prevent wrinkles from forming. Others believe that drinking water can aid in detoxifying and removing waste out of body.
Taking more water will not lead water to go inside the skin selectively unless an individual is indeed seriously hydrated.
Excessive water will go into the body tissues and finally enter the bladder. Body detoxification in general, is performed by organs such as the liver which does not require large amounts of water to function.
